Call for papers (extended deadline)
The committee of the Second European Students Conference in African Studies (SESCAS) invites interested Master´s students and recent graduates in African Studies and related disciplines at all universities around Europe to present their Master thesis or other projects. The conference will be held at the University of Basel from the 23rd to the 25th of June, 2022. It is intended as a platform to share and exchange experiences as well as strengthening the network among students in African Studies around Europe.
This call for papers encourages students and graduates to submit an abstract of their Master thesis or project. Submission will be grouped in thematic panels by the scientific committee. The predominant language of the event is English, nevertheless presentations are welcomed in French, Portuguese and German on the condition that the written version thereof (PowerPoint presentation or handout) is maintained in English.
Please submit your short abstract (300-400 words max.) by the latest on the 31st of March, 2022 using our online form. Each participant is allowed to submit only one abstract.
The organizers can offer partial economic support for travel expenses, if necessary, on application.
